Traditionally, all children in Africa make their own toys out of found materials: discarded cans, wire, old sandals, tires, etc. Following this long-standing tradition modern artists are creating art in all kinds of forms. This small camera was made by such an artist but it could have been a toy a child might have made for him or herself. Each camera is very similar to the one pictured although the exact cans used do vary.

Although this could have been a toy in Africa we consider it only to be a decorative object. It is NOT appropriate as a toy for a child unless it's the African child for whom it was made.
